“And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.” (Psalms 12:6 NIV)
One of my true passions in life and a gift that the Lord blessed me with many years ago was the understanding and love of Listening Prayer. When I type out a prayer for you saying, “Ask the Lord…” I don’t mean that figuratively. I mean that if you are feeling called into it, literally sit in prayer and ask the Lord a question–then expect an answer. He speaks to us everyday–through emotions, though inspiration, through songs–and in order to fine tune our listening ear, we have to practice, we have to ask questions, and we have to listen.
In 2020 I wrote a blog post in another iteration of this blog where I outlined a guide to listening prayer. You can find it here:

All throughout the Bible we see the Lord speaking to His people–in dreams, through prayer, through the people around them, yet for some reason we don’t feel like he speaks directly to us today. I would like to challenge that by asking you to take a step out of your box and ask the Lord a question: literally! If you don’t know where to start, simply follow the guide above.
The words of the Lord are flawless–and He desires you to hear them directly; through the spirit, through the Bible, through listening in prayer.
